1. Door County Treasure Hunt: Geocaching is a free and fun activity for individuals, couples, or families to get out and explore scenic Door County in a unique and exciting way. Learn more about how to get started and build your adventure at Destination Door County.  

2. Self-Guided Gallery Tours:  Create a My Trip at Destination Door County's arts and cultural guide. From Sturgeon Bay to Sister Bay, you can create a personalized tour just for you!

3. Hiking, Snowshoeing, or Cross County Ski: Crossroads at Big Creek offers free rentals on Saturdays from 9:30-2:30 pm, snow permitting. You and your crew can rent skis (boots and poles included), snowshoes, and Kicksleds and head out on one of the many trails to enjoy winter's fresh air and beauty. Check out their site to stay up-to-date on trail conditions and ski rentals. Want to keep it simple and go on a hike, check out one of our five State Parks to plan your hiking adventure.

Budget-Friendly Activities:

1. Get your Pool and Hot Tub Fix:  Sturgeon Bay's YMCA offers a zero-depth entry recreation pool for families with littles, a waterslide (check open times), a hot tub, a sauna, and a competition-sized lap pool. It also offers state-of-the-art workout facilities and childcare options for those wanting to keep up with their workouts while on vacation. 

2. Cooking at "Home": Renting a vacation home allows you to save on food costs and it can be fun too! Head over to the Healthy Way Market for a large selection of locally grown and organic food options or hit up Econo Foods or Pick and Save for larger budget-friendly selections. Our favorite at-home receipts are homemade pizzas, hearty soups (got leftovers or veggies at home that you don't want to go to waste, pack them up and make a delicious soup), or splurge on fresh homemade bread from Scaturoes and create a gourmet twist to the simple grilled cheese. 

3. Get Your Craft On:  Are you and your besties looking for something different to do during your vacation? Book a private workshop with Adventures with Jen and get your craft on! Make and Take Jewelry workshops are a fun and creative way to take something you made home with you! So grab your favorite drink, turn on the music, and enjoy a night with Jen and your friends!
